About me

Why you'd want to grab a coffee with me

My name is Marouane, and i’m a Software Architect currently working in the FinTech sector.

When I’m not coding, i’m spending time with Maya and Ramy, my two kids, who are absolutely convinced that all i do is play games on my PC … they’re not entirely wrong.

My first encounter with a computer was in 1991 with an Amstrad 624 … Thanks for everything Dad, you’ll always inspire me, RIP. I began coding by reading the book that came with the computer… back then, it was just instructions in Locomotive BASIC that allowed you to draw circles and squares. But it was already revolutionary… what a beautiful era!

The inspiration behind this blog

I’ve been working on an ambitious project, driven by my passion for building something that doesn’t just work … it works beautifully. Over the past four years, i’ve been creating a futuristic event management platform. It’s a Java-powered powerhouse, featuring microservices, Event-Driven Architecture (EDA), APIs powered by Java Spring, and the front-end built with React. An AI agent is also currently in development. It’s a personal tech playground where I get to explore the trends that excite me the most.

Speaking of trends, i’m fascinated by everything modern tech has to offer: cloud-native architectures, containerization, serverless computing, and of course, AI-driven solutions. I’ve had the chance to work on these in leading companies like IBM, where i honed my skills and gained a deep understanding of building scalable, robust systems.

My StarCraft Journey

And in case you were wondering, I’ve spent many years playing wonderful games like StarCraft 2, dating back to the early 2000s. I was a Grandmaster under the pseudonym Pulsar. My favorite players? Polt, Maru, and Clem—masters of precision and creativity.

Whether you want to talk about tech trends, gaming, or how to convince kids that work isn’t just playing on a PC, let’s chat! 😊
